Celebrating our 30th Season!

The goal of our Production Companies, both professional (SMT) and youth (B.E.T.A.- Broadening Education Thru Arts Since 1986), is to produce quality theatrical and family friendly live stage shows to enrich the arts culture for visitors and locals to our beautiful 30A community.

Our Roots

Our strength lies in the hundreds of productions we have produced, and most importantly in the training we provided for all actors and artists of all ages. From the moment we started our work in 1989, we challenged ourselves and every performer, musician, set artists, technicians, students, and co-directors to provide quality family theatrical entertainment for the community we serve.  At the same time, we have provided countless artists a stepping stone as a launch to other professional venues that ultimately on this day, we at Surfside Music Theatre have come to have ties in the entertainment industry all over the world. We strive to make a positive change for our audiences and artists alike.

Join our team.

We encourage any budding and desiring artist to submit for a respective place in our productions.  Submit to:

Truly Top-Notch

Super proud of Bella. Michelle and she have been a team for 10 years and what an incredible moment to watch hard work and dedication pay off. Michelle has been with our family through it all. She is part of the family and we love her. What a blessing to have her coach Bella through all these years. Can't wait to see what's in store next!

Laura Pinzone, parent

I didn’t land in the Performing Arts world because God knows I can’t keep a tune to save my life, but I did land in the education world and I believe Shelli Kerrigan McGee had a part in that from my time in BETA. I will always be proud to call myself a BETA kid.

Chris Klein, alumnus

"Michelle has an uncanny ability in teaching voice and acting.  She has worked with my girls and absolutely love her.  She has a gift to offer and we are so blesses to have made contact with her."

Darlene Ciolino, Parent of EMC Candidate

Michelle Hired Kathan as a replacement in a show.  What fun to be part of that again!  It was a rousing success with sold out crowds.  About 15 years ago, she started teaching Kathan and so many more of his now friends.  She is nurturing some real talent once again in several of her students in Grayton Beach!

Pam Brannon, News Writer and grandparent of 15 year alum

Thank you for everything through the years!  Lily nor Cece would be where they are today without you.  We are so grateful.
